Having just done the Zip World Velocity, being suspended on a metal rope on my front and zoomed by my own body weight, gravity and the Welsh wind for a mile at a speed I don’t care for – yes it was brilliant fun – I just want to say the Adventure is definitely out there! Click on the links to find out more info.
We had guests that stayed recently who arrived having completed Velocity already, walked up Snowdon the next day and then went and did Go Below caving the following day, hoping to sneak in a visit to Zip World FForest and check out the newly opened Zip Safari before the hit the road home and they still want to come back for more.
There really is loads to do in North Wales and Visit Wales have heralded this year as ‘The Year of Adventure’. If you’re into water sports you have everything from White Water Rafting at Bala, to Surfing at Surf Snowdonia, where you can learn to surf, splash and crash on their new obstacle course or go for the big splash on the Blob!
There is quad biking at Langollen, canyoning and pony trekking (though not at the same time!) in Bala and Betws-y-Coed, mountain biking from Betws-y-coed, coast steering, abseiling and gorge walking from Anglesey. The list goes on, North Wales is a playground for those seeking an adventure, a feeling of experiencing something bigger than themselves and getting a thrill from the great outdoors.
Betws-y-Coed is a fabulous location to base yourself as we are central to most of the areas in and around Snowdonia National Park and only 40 minutes from Llanberis for a unique train ride up a mountain, hikes up other mountain peaks and locally we have river and hill and forest walks to lakes and view points all doable from the door.
So what are you waiting for? Check it out, book yourselves in and come and stay because this could be your year of adventure!
