"Another fabulous stay with Pipa, Martin & Marian. This is our 4th stay. The House is beautiful with outstanding views of the countryside. Breakfast is delicious, with fresh local Welsh produce. Everywhere is spotless. Pipa & Martin are so friendly & hospitable always offering advice where best to visit. We will be returning next year for another marvellous, relaxing holiday. Thank you ???? xx "

Tip:
"Even though the Suspension Bridge over the river to Betws-y-Coed Village is closed at present I wouldn’t let it deter you from staying at Aberconwy House. It’s only a mere 10 minutes more onto your walk, which is neither here or there. It all adds to the adventure of the countryside and the charm of the Village. You will love it ????. "

This is first class accommodation. With first class warm friendly owners, who are just lovely. ( I came away with a tear in my eye). From meeting us in the car park as we pulled up , to saying goodbye, as we left they couldn’t have been more helpful, warm, friendly and knowledgeable. A rare quality these days. They made our holiday that more memorable and enjoyable. There is plenty of car park spaces . The house is spotlessly clean . The bedroom was incredible inviting, with everything you needed in it. The breakfast's were made to order the night before and were cooked to perfection. You were asked if you needed anything for your room, when you came down in the morning. Nothing was too much trouble. Their knowledge of the area is brilliant and if you ask they will write places of interest or where to eat down for you. My partner and I really enjoyed the love that the owners Marian, Pippa and Martin have for what they do. They are really a credit to the Bed and Breakfast industry.

Fabulous room, food and hosts. Availability of a ground floor room, with brilliant walk in shower and car parking, was much appreciated

15th June, 2024 Guest from Brierley Hill

We were delighted with the friendly greeting that we received on arrival. The whole stay was marked out by your interest in our activities and your obvious concern that we had everything that we needed. The breakfast was well organised and beautifully cooked and presented and they set us up for the day. The attention to detail was exceptional including the phone call about the butter. The Bara Brith and the welsh cakes made a lovely surprise and we thoroughly enjoyed them. I loved the make up removal flannel as I always feel guilty about leaving my make up on the towels although on this occasion I didn't wear any. The furnishings are excellent and the bed was very comfortable. It was delightful sitting in the arm chairs and looking out over the countryside. It was the icing on the cake and we left you feeling that we had had a really relaxing few days. We have made a note of the room number so when we visit again we will know which room to request. Thank you for all your kindness.

Pippa, Martin and Marion were extremely hospitable hosts not only providing exceptionally comfortable rooms- my 6 ft 7 son was delighted with the roomy , accommodating bed, proper size, fluffy towels and a plethora of teas and biscuits in the room. It was spotlessly clean and ample storage and a huge bathroom with a lovely power shower. The breakfast was substantial and well cooked- my Eggs Royale with hot smoked salmon and perfectly cooked poached eggs was delicious. Take away, complementary, Bara Brith and Welsh Cakes was gratefully and enthusiastically received. They took the time to engage with their guests and provided fantastic local insight to less well known hiking adventures. The location of Aberconwy House was perfect for us despite the convenient footbridge being temporarily closed. It was extremely relaxing to come back to this bed and breakfast and escape the hustle and bustle of Betwsycoed town centre.

22nd April, 2024, Guest from Bolton

Incredibly friendly and easy to talk to staff, though "staff" doesn't feel like the word, more like good friends. The breakfast is absolutely top-notch. The toast alone is worth it. I have had the Full English, the Eggs Benedict and the pancakes and they are all wonderful (especially the Benedict). Also, don't pass up the offer of Welsh Cakes and Bara Brith! The dining hall is lovely with a full display of feeding birds and squirrels just outside the window. The bed rooms are lovely too, very clean, good shower, stunning views, comfy beds and the bonus of a smart TV doesn't go amiss. The location is fantastic. Betws-y-Coed is a beautiful, tranquil little place; and this B&B is the cherry on the cake. I have stayed here twice now and it has been wonderful.

What can make or break a holiday away from home? It has to be the accommodation and it’s location. Get it wrong and you spend the whole trip away counting the days down, wanting to go home again! Get it right and you don’t want to go home and count the days down to your next stay there! Aberconwy House is 100% getting it right in every way! Martin, Pippa & Marian are fantastic hosts, the accommodation is spotless with high quality well thought out fixtures & fittings. The beds are top quality providing you with a great nights sleep, the only thing to wake you is nature itself with lovely bird song or your morning alarm. The breakfast is lovely and well presented and covers all tastes including vegetarian/vegan and gluten free if required. Martin & Pippa are so knowledgeable about Snowdonia and very keen to make sure you get the most from your trip, be it hiking/walking, visiting places of interest or adventure/adrenaline activities. After a fun day out the village offers lots of nice pubs or restaurants, or you can just chill outside Aberconwy with your own bottle of wine reflecting on what a great time you are having. Very much looking forward to my return in a few months time! Aberconwy House is the real gem of Snowdonia!

Tips for other travellers
You have to stay here. It's the best we've stayed in during our time in Wales.

What a lovely experience! Pippa, Martin & Marian are the nicest people. They have great knowledge of the surrounding area and recommended some great places for us to visit during our 2 night stay. The front of the house is lovely with very peaceful and pleasant views to look at during breakfast. Speaking of which the variety and options for breakfast was fantastic, tasted delicious and Pippa even gave us options for more food and packed us some Welsh cakes to take out on our day trip with us. Our room was spotless with a very modern bathroom, brilliant shower and a cosy feel with extra touches like chocolates on the pillows! The bed was very comfy and the views from the bedroom window.. Just beautiful! The place itself is just a short walk from Betws-y-coed which has plenty of lovely places to eat and drink. Overall we had a brilliant stay at Aberconwy house and are hoping to visit again during our next mini break!

Warm, Welcoming and Wonderful are the owners of this B&B treasure. Martin, Pippa & Marian have a great passion for Wales/Snowdonia which comes across during your stay. They are tremendous hosts always making sure everyone gets the most from their break away. Over the years I have stayed in a number of B&B’s in the area as a solo traveller and never felt so welcome from the start to the end of my break. They all work so hard to make sure everyone has a great time. The location, comfort and quality of fixtures & fittings are second to none. The breakfast is superb and covers all dietary tastes. This was my third stay and already booked again for 2025.

A fabulous guest house in a lovely location. Spotless clean, everything you could possibly need was supplied. Marion, pippa and Martin so friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfast and the little food parcel for our journey home was delicious. We chose the downstairs room, good to have our own access, outside sitting area, and the bathroom, WOW.

15th September, 2024, Guest from Albany

We stayed three nights and it was wonderful. A pristine and lovely guesthouse surrounded by forests, farms and hills, the amazing variety of birds entertained us immensely. Breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit, quality yogurt and freshly home-cooked entrees with many choices. Delicious coffee, too. The room was lovely with spectacular views and the bed very comfortable. Many thoughtful touches in the room and there is a common-use refrigerator and assorted glasses. About a mile or so from the lovely village and train/bus stops of Betws-Y-Coed and a short walk to a 17th century restaurant, TyGwyn. We can’t recommend Aberconwy House enough. AAAAA+! Thank you, Marian, Pippa and Martin for your warm welcome each day, your conversation, and for a most enjoyable and memorable stay.

16th September, 2024, Guest from Wrexham

From the minute we arrived till the minute we left this beautiful b&b, we were made to feel genuinely very welcome by Pippa, Martin and Marion. Everywhere was completely spotless and felt homely all throughout from the second you walk through the door. Our room (7) was spacious, cosy and immaculate and the bed was very comfortable (best sleep ever had staying in a b&b) The choice given for breakfast was above and beyond and tasted great. Also lovely touch in giving welsh cakes and barabrith for our walks, at which Martin was very helpful and knowledgeable about. We really look forward to staying here again.

Martin, Marian & Pippa were so friendly & interesting, making for a lovely atmosphere in the guesthouse, you could feel it from the word go. We loved all the little touches - the bay window with armchairs facing out to the hills in room 2, curtains that go fully around the bay window, sachets of mi-wadi and all types of herbal teas, locally produced hand-soap, quiet rooms, little torches on the keyring - they even took our wet clothes to dry them after our hike! Pippa and Martin were the best hosts and definitely went that extra mile to meet our needs. Our room was fab and the breakfast was delicious plus we were provided with free Welsh cakes for our hike. What's not to love!!

I had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay for 4 nights. Bathroom was spotless like new. Bed was so comfortable and all room details/furnishings were very thoughtful. Breakfast was superb - there were 7 options! Hosts were super welcoming and helpful. I particularly admired their efforts to reduce environmental impact whenever possible. Easy walking distance to the village, though the footbridge at the time was closed temporarily due to construction work - out of their control anyway.

We stayed here a few years ago but the hotel has changed, in terms of decor and bathrooms etc. They've maintained high standards and the rooms are very homely, clean and modern. The beds are very comfortable. The owners are very welcoming and couldn't do enough for you. You feel like they want to ensure you have the perfect stay and that's what they achieved. It feels like home, fresh milk when needed for teas and coffees, informative about the area, make recommendations. The breakfast choices was fantastic, cooked to order and better than some 5 star hotels we've stayed in. They even packed and offered us some fruit cake and Welsh cakes which were delicious and appreciated when we were half way up Snowdon. Overall we had a fantastic weekend, and stay at Aberconwy House and we will be returning in the near future.

We stayed in Room 1 which was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated with a large picture window. Shower lovely and hot in en suite. Hair dryer provided. Complimentary shower gel and hand wash (smells lovely). Complementary teas/coffees in room to make own drinks with fresh milk every day. Fridge/freezer in diningroom for guests use. Useful information folder in bedroom. Good WiFi connection. Plenty of choice for breakfast, which was excellent and very tasty, served in pleasant diningroom. Car parking available. Quiet location. Hosts were very friendly, welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. They were very knowledgeable about the local area and great with directions! We would definitely stay again if we were in the area.
